30 Years Later: Visiting My Old High School

Walking back into your old school is always a special feeling when you are nearly fifty, especially after 30 years since graduating.

Next year, the school is scheduled to be completely rebuilt. Knowing that, this visit felt like a final chance to walk through the old classrooms, stroll along familiar corridors, and see the old corners one last time.

I only had a few short hours. I caught up with some classmates, took a few photos, and was lucky to meet several of our former teachers from three decades ago. Seeing them still healthy and sharp felt like a true blessing. Some teachers are no longer with us, but that is the natural course of time that none of us can avoid.

Watching the students studying in the school today, I could see the reflection of ourselves back then—full of youthful energy and innocence.

I feel deeply grateful to our teachers. Their dedication gave us the knowledge and foundation to grow up, build our careers, and find our own places in society today.
