A Meaningful Setback: Reframing Failure as a Stepping Stone
My son recently missed the cut for the specialized high school entrance exam. While it is technically a failure, the true purpose of this exam was always about self-positioning—helping him find his study motivation and review his core knowledge.
This setback does not affect his current schooling, but it serves as a highly valuable lesson. It gives him a chance to reflect on his strengths and weaknesses, helping him mature and realize where he stands.
More importantly, this is just the beginning. This experience is a crucial preparation for his ultimate and much bigger goal: hunting for scholarships to study abroad in the US. The journey continues, and this lesson will only make him stronger.
