Never Under My Own Name
After the recent incident with my content, I made a decision. I will stop using my personal account to post in groups.
It is a small thing to say, but it matters to me. For years I have kept one rule. Social media should be noise I filter out, not noise I add to. When I posted under my own name, I broke that rule. The post did well, then it turned, and I was part of the noise.
So now I have a line.
I can still write the content. I can help the collaborators who post it. I can guide the words, check the facts, and watch the comments. But I will never again publish anything under my own account.
Some people may think this is overreacting. Maybe. But I know how easy it is to get pulled in. One good post, one rush of numbers, and you forget why you stayed quiet in the first place.
My name is not a channel. It is not a place to test what works.
I am not quitting the work. I am just keeping it at arm's length. The content can go out. It just does not need to wear my face.
That feels honest to me.
