Paving the Way: Hackweek, Interns, and New Doors

It has been an intensely busy week filled with team-connecting activities, from our company Hackweek to wrapping up the internship program.

Our Hackweek team did not win the top prize, but we achieved our most critical goal: gaining visibility with our counterparts in Japan. We broke through language barriers and collaborated directly with the Japanese team for the first time. As a manager, my real job was not chasing a contest award—it was clearing the path and creating visibility so my team members have genuine opportunities to advance.

Meanwhile, our interns wrapped up their journey with successful final presentations. We celebrated the milestone together with a fun hangout, cold beers, and good food. The hardest part begins now: deciding who is the best fit for the company. Making that decision will take all of my management experience and careful judgment.

I can sense many new opportunities beginning to line up ahead. The real challenge now is whether I can seize them when they arrive.
