Returning to Da Lat

Da Lat is probably the place I've visited the most in 2026. Even though it's 400km from my house, I've already been there twice in just the first four months of the year. And there's a pretty high chance I'll make another trip for the September 2nd holiday, since several groups of friends have invited me.

Honestly, Da Lat isn't as beautiful to me now as it was when I first visited at nine years old. The reason is simple: it's become heavily concretized, almost to the point of feeling suffocating. It's also overcrowded with tourists, making it hard to find any real quietness anymore.

However, the cool climate—sometimes dropping to 9 or 10 degrees—still holds a certain appeal for someone like me who loves cold weather.

I've never tried staying in Da Lat for a long time. Usually, by the third day, I'm ready to go home. It's not exactly that I get bored. It's just that if all I'm doing is eating and relaxing, by day three I start missing the feeling of being busy.

Many people from Saigon have moved to Da Lat and shared interesting experiences about living there. I don't think I'll do the same. But finding a job in Da Lat when I no longer have to worry about finances and kids might not be a bad idea.

Only time will tell.
