Servant Leadership and the Urge to Go Big
Another performance review cycle wrapped up, and the results exceeded my expectations: most of my team members earned their promotions.
Seeing their growth made something click for me. I finally recognized my natural leadership archetype: servant leadership. Looking back at how I operate day to day and the outcomes we achieved, this is not just a management theory I admire—it is the model that genuinely aligns with my strengths and instincts.
With that realization, a new ambition has started taking root: it might be time to go big.
I find myself thinking about taking on something bolder, higher-stakes, and perhaps the final major play of my career before retirement. In the past, the fear of burnout and physical exhaustion would have made me hesitate. But with my health improving dramatically in recent months, that dread has completely disappeared. I find myself operating with abundant energy every day.
The leadership archetype is clear, and the physical stamina is ready. The only question left is defining the strategy and deciding how to execute the move to go big.
