The Circle of Help: Why I Support Others in Their Career Journeys

Whenever I can, I try to leverage my professional network to help people. Whether it is helping a friend find a new job or assisting a recruiter I don't even know to source the right candidate, I gladly step in. I never expect anything in return—no favors, no referral fees. For me, the pure joy of seeing someone succeed and helping them open a new door is more than enough.

Ironically, when I face my own career challenges or need to change jobs, I rarely get direct help from the specific people I assisted in the past. Yet, I am a firm believer in karma. Every time I found myself in a desperate, high-stakes situation, an unexpected door always opened for me, allowing me to secure a new role against all odds.

No one’s career is completely bulletproof or permanently safe from market volatility. That is why we should help others whenever we have the capacity to do so. Lift people up when you are in a position of strength, and have faith that when things get tough for you, someone out there will reach out a hand to pull you through.
