Too Many Doors
Life is strange sometimes. I keep learning this.
There are moments when you think you have lost everything. You are at the bottom, and the bottom is quiet. Then something shifts. Not slowly. Almost in one move. Suddenly you are up in the light, and you have more options than you can hold.
You would think that is the good part. It is, but it comes with its own weight.
When you have nothing, the choice is simple. You take what is in front of you. There is no debate. You just try to survive. When you have many options, the question changes. It is no longer "can I do this" but "which one is right, and what if I choose wrong".
I have been on both sides. The bottom was painful but clear. The top is exciting and confusing. I did not expect that. I thought having choices would feel like freedom. Sometimes it feels more like a test.
Maybe the hardest part of life is not the struggle. It is standing in front of many open doors and knowing that behind each one is a version of you that you will become, and you cannot open them all.
I do not have a clever answer. I am learning to choose slowly, and to accept that some doors will close. That is the price of having any at all.
