The sweet lyrics, the melancholic traditional strings blended perfectly into a Western pop rhythm. It has been nearly three decades since music last hit me with this level of raw, unfiltered emotion.
It brought back the mid-90s—an era of cassette tapes, slow afternoons, and a mind completely unburdened by system architectures or the toxicity of the adult world.
As an engineer, I often think about data retention. Today I realized that some of our finest emotional memories are never truly deleted; they are just heavily compressed, waiting for a specific frequency to be decrypted instantly.
For a few minutes, the steering wheel felt lighter, and the past felt closer than ever.
